About Us
Each day dollars from government and large private contracts leave Hawaii Island. The “Buying Local First” campaign is about exploring avenues for keeping those dollars in our local economy. Specifically intended as a conduit for local businesses interested in gaining access to these contracts, the “Buying Local First” campaign is a non-profit organization established to help marry these contacts with local Big Island service and product providers. The goal is to help the businesses and entrepreneurs of Hawaii Island find opportunities that will boost business and grow our local economy by keeping dollars on the Island. In other words, we want contractors to “buy” our services and products first!
